How to Find Airport Parking at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport)

The Los Angeles International Airport, known more popularly by travelers and frequent fliers as LAX, is known for its size, and how busy it is. Over fifty million people pass through LAX every year, and more than two million tons of cargo, luggage, and goods pass through as well, bound for millions of different directions. And out of all these millions of people, there are good percentage of these millions of people seeking a great parking space, close to the doors, for a decent price. So imagine, on any given day, thousands of people, possibly hundreds of thousands, all looking for a good spot to park. Compounded with the stress many people face while traveling, plus those who are nervous fliers, it’s easy to see that the stress can make it easily a daunting, and overwhelming task.

But heave a sigh of relief, fellow travelers, because there are tips, tricks, good sense, and simple planning to save you from the rush of scrambling for a parking place, and even finding your car when you get back to the enormous airport.

First of all, and most important, make sure that you’re well organized, and have everything you need for the trip; worrying about what you forgot won’t help you.

Next, be sure you set aside a certain amount to pay for parking, and are updated on the current prices. If it’s been a while since you’ve paid for LAX parking, then you need to call the lot of your choice, or the airport, and ask for notification of any recent changes in the price of parking.

If you are looking to park at LAX, whether its for a short business trip or long term you have a few options.

  1. Reserve your parking reservation over the phone at the Los Angeles international airport by calling (866) 980-7275. They are open between 8:00am and 11:00pm pacific standard time. Parking at LAX is more convenient as its in walking distance from the terminals, but convenience has a price. These parking locations are more expensive than off-site parking options.
  2. Book your reservation online by visiting the LAX airport official website: www.airport-la.com. Once again, these parking garages are on-site, and are more expensive than off-site parking.
  3. Visit a LAX airport parking price comparison website that offers dozens of parking solutions depending on the duration of your stay. They list the daily rate for parking your vehicle, and include a rating each parking lots services. All the parking locations are located off-site, and require you to ride a free shuttle to your specified terminal. You’ll want to arrive a little earlier than usual, as it takes more time to park, take shuttle, and check-in at your shuttle.
  4. This is probably the worst case scenario, but if you must simply show up to your LAX airport parking location and book the reservation on the spot. You run the risk of missing your flight because many of the parking garages may be full. For this reason we recommend you reserve the parking spot prior to your trip to using one of the 3 options above.

When parking at LAX be sure to utilize your options and reserve your parking spot online or over the phone. This will save time, money, and provide for a stress free trip.
