Oahu Top Three Beaches

Oahu is home to some of the best attractions in Hawaii. Among these attractions are the numerous beaches which are located in Oahu. Some of the best beaches in Oahu include; Kailua Beach Park. Ala Moana Beach Park, Hanauma Bay Beach Park, Kawela Bay, Makaha Beach Park, Malaekahana Bay, Sunset Beach Park, Waialae Beach Park, Waikiki Beach and Waimea Bay Beach Park.

With all these beaches, however,only three stand out from the rest and can be classified as the top three beaches in Oahu. These three beaches are;Ala Moana Beach Park, Kailua Beach Park and Waikiki Beach.

Ala Moana Beach Park

Ala Moana Beach Park is sandwiched between Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. Its great place to carry out a number of activities. It’s a preferred beach among the locals though it’s regularly less crowded than Waikiki Beach.

This man-made beach is a long and wide sandy beach and is perfect for long-distance swimming. There are also vast surf spots offshore at the edge of the reef and numerous areas to do picnic activities. It’s a great place for open-air activities, such as jogging, walking and playing tennis. Some of the park facilities include Showers, lifeguards, Phones, Concession Stands, Picnic Tables, Tennis Courts, Restrooms and a Music Pavilion. Water activities include swimming, surfing, snorkeling and fishing.

Kailua Beach Park

Kailua beach has all what you would expect of Hawaii. With its Turquoise waters, fine white sand and palm trees, it is never too packed. The Fine white-sand beach is always a great for families and usually calm water ideal for swimming. Besides there are plenty of picnic areas provided by the trees and plenty of shade.

Kailua Beach Park Water range from swimming to kite surfing. Other water activities include; Snorkeling, Body boarding, kayaking and Windsurfing.

To make sure that you have a splendid time at the beach, various facilities are available including restrooms, showers, picnic areas, concession stand and lifeguards.

Waikiki Beach

This no doubt Hawaii’s most admired and popular beach. Most times, it’s always crowded because of its fame. It stretches a two-mile-radius with several hotels, restaurants, beach bars and activities along this beach. Kapiolani Park is also a great picnic area. For the sports fanatics, you can rent Water sports equipments. There is also good music entertainment during the evenings at Beach bars and restaurants plus great movies during the weekends. Some of the water activities include Swimming, Surfing, Body boarding, Snorkeling and others. All the facilities required are available at Waikiki beach.

Although Hawaii has many attractions, Waikiki beach is one area you shouldn’t miss. The strategic locations of Ala Moana Beach Park and Kailua Beach Park make them ideal location for your enjoyment and a life time experience of Hawaii.
