Royal Caribbean Ships – The Best Way to Spend Your Vacation on a Cruise Ship

By Kathy Swanson

Vacations are fun but a vacation on any of the Royal Caribbean ships gives you both relaxation and adventure. It is also so much fun to see the world from another perspective and still enjoy the luxuries you don’t get from those backpacking adventures.

Vacations are fun but a vacation on any of the Royal Caribbean ships gives you both relaxation and adventure. It is also so much fun to see the world from another perspective and still enjoy the luxuries you don’t get from those backpacking adventures.

Be Different this Time
A vacation that gives you the opportunity to sail the seas, dress up, and have all the fun you can have on land is surely a knock-out. So don’t just sit in that quiet corner and catch up on your reading or you’ll miss 99.9% of the fun. Be an active participant – get out of the cabin and join the throng on the swimming pool or disco away at night and meet new friends. There’s still time for you to go over the latest thriller if you can’t sleep a wink those balmy evenings.

Royal Caribbean ships line up activities for all ages; just get the schedule and keep tabs of the activities that sound promising to you. If you are the hard-core skeptic who sticks to adventure trips, you might be pleasantly surprised to find out that you enjoyed the entire voyage. Not to worry though, you can still have a dose of your adventure on every port of call. Each port will be as exciting as the next on your Royal Caribbean ships and there’s so much to take in – sights, sounds, and smells.

Onboard, you have so much to do, it might shock you that there’s so little time to savor everything to the hilt. Schedule your daily activity and take the time to experience the movie, the disco, dinners, sports, and sipping champagne on deck with the moon overhead in the velvety night skies. Oh, don’t forget to take your pictures. Other passengers will be only too willing to take your pictures for you and be prepared for a deluge of requests from others who want to have their pictures taken too.

One Day and Night at a Time
Don’t rush. Relax in your cabin upon boarding and soak in the tub to rev up spirits. After all the tiring preparations and the excitement of the prospect of a cruise on one of the many Royal Caribbean ships, you need to calm down to get ready for a string of activities on board.

The Royal Caribbean ships offer flexible dining schedules. Choose the date for your ‘My Time Dining’ if you want to savor the ambience of a posh dinner environment. If you have children with you, you can also get the ‘Family Time Dining’ and kids can have their Lunch and Play time. Get bookings to these dining events before you ship out or make sure your agent signs you up for the schedules you want. But pack up some munchies for the kids and adults for those inevitable midnight snacks.

Tour the ship on the second day; on the third day you already have made new friends so join them. New found friends can enrich your onboard experience. When your ship docks on ports of call, get off. Tote your camera and bring along some local currencies to shop for trinkets. It will be fun shopping with your new friends or with the family. The secret to an enjoyable cruise on those Royal Caribbean ships is joining the fun – so join them if you can’t beat them.
